Fellowship Opportunities are now open.

RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

Ready for a compelling career in research? Help Envision fulfill its mission while taking full advantage of our unique resources.

The Envision Research Institute (ERI) is excited to announce the opening of an opportunity to apply for a Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. Are you passionate about improving the quality of life for people who are blind or visually impaired? Are you ready to help remove the functional barriers these individuals face while building a rewarding career in research? Here at the ERI, we’re looking for enthusiastic and innovative research fellows who can partner with ERI mentors to conduct projects from concept to completion. For up to two years, you’ll work and train at ERI and renowned institutions across the nation as you develop the crucial skills and knowledge you need for a successful, independent career.

Am I Eligible?

A Fellow must have received, at the start of their fellowship, a PhD, PsyD, MD, OD, OTD, JD or equivalent doctoral degree at an accredited institution. BVI research is multi- and interdisciplinary, thus the field of the doctoral degree is less important than the proposed training and research to be carried out during the fellowship. Fellowships are 2 years in duration. Training and research is conducted at ERI, however the Fellow may travel to a mentor's institution for up to 3 months in the first year to receive additional training not available at ERI.

More information about our Fellowship Program and this fellowship opportunity including instructions for filing an application can be found here

Applications should be submitted to research@envisionus.com no later than 12:00pm CT on Friday, September 25, 2020. Please email any questions to Ronald Schuchard, ERI Executive Director, at the same email address including difficulties with the application deadline. The Fellowship is expected to commence no later than Winter 2021.
